3ESO - THURSDAY 18TH JUNE - REPASO 3T

Hola a tod@s, empezamos la que será la última semana completa de clase de este curso tan extraño. Espero que todo lo vivido durante estos meses os haya enseñado a conoceros mejor a vosotr@s mism@s, y a daros cuenta de la capacidad que tenemos los seres humanos para ser solidarios, ayudarnos unos a otros, y seguir hacia adelante. Estoy muy orgullosa de cómo habéis estado trabajando mi asignatura. Soy consciente de que seguir las clases online ha supuesto un esfuerzo extra por vuestra parte, y no me habéis decepcionado. Ser vuestra profesora durante estos meses ha sido todo un privilegio.

Espero que disfrutarais con el proyecto de fin de trimestre, yo sé que esta semana voy a disfrutar mucho viendo vuestros noticiarios. La teoría es que en esta semana debería dejaros ejercicios de repaso para hacer. Pero lo cierto es que habéis trabajado tan bien durante este tiempo que prefiero dejaros algo que creo que vais a disfrutar más, un video quiz. El tema es navideño, pero podréis repasar el Primer Condicional. Recordad que lo formábamos usando If + Present Simple / Will + infinitive.

3ESO - PROYECTO FINAL DE TRIMESTRE

Hola a tod@s

Esta entrada la voy a hacer en español para que no haya ninguna duda sobre lo que tenéis que hacer. Ya os comenté hace tiempo que el 30% de la nota de este trimestre dependerá de un trabajo de final de trimestre. Os explico en qué consiste.

1. El trabajo es individual y se evaluará de forma individual. La fecha límite para la entrega es el viernes 12 de junio, así que no os durmáis en los laureles. 

2. ¿En qué consiste el trabajo? Pues básicamente, tendréis que preparar un telediario. Pero no uno cualquiera. Será un telediario lleno de buenas noticias, reales o inventadas. Vamos a llenarnos de buena energía estos últimos días del curso, y centrarnos en las cosas positivas que ocurren o que deseamos que ocurran. 

3. ¿Qué vais a necesitar? Pues un ordenador o tablet donde podáis trabajar con una presentación (una de Google Drive o de Powerpoint, la que prefiráis). También un dispositivo para grabaros (la cámara del móvil, la de la tablet o la del ordenador), y un programa de edición de vídeo (si utilizáis el pc) o una app de edición del vídeo (si utilizáis la tablet o el móvil), que creo que es la mejor opción porque es lo más fácil e intuitivo de utilizar. Y sobre todo, vais a necesitar mucha, mucha imaginación. 

4. Cada telediario tendrá que constar de:

- Una cabecera para introducirlo. Os dejo un ejemplo aquí (https://youtu.be/L-id_WMCCh8). 

- Una noticia internacional y una noticia nacional. Pueden tratar sobre cualquier cosa, mientras sea positiva. Nada de dramas ni malas noticias. 

- Una sección extra a elegir entre Deportes o El Tiempo. 

5. ¿Cómo me organizo el trabajo? Bueno, en eso voy a intentar ayudaros. Es importante que no lo dejes todo para el último día porque hay pasos que necesitan preparación previa. 

• En primer lugar, vamos a crear el documento base. Para eso, podéis usar una presentación de Powerpoint (si no os va bien internet es lo mejor), o crear una presentación de Google en Google Drive. El título debe ser: 3ESOA/3ESO B - Primer Apellido Segundo Apellido, Nombre. Os pongo un ejemplo: 3ESO A - Pérez Gómez, Menganita

• Ahora vamos a por la cabecera. Obviamente la opción más básica es incrustar en la presentación un vídeo con una cabecera ya preparada o simplemente poner un título a la primer página. Pero obviamente eso no va a valer mucha nota. Opciones: podéis dibujar el logo de vuestro telediario (al que tenéis que buscar un nombre que os guste y que sea original) en una cartulina o folio y grabarlo con vuestra cámara para luego incrustar el vídeo. O crear vosotros un collage con fotos en la primera página de vuestra presentación, añadiendo animaciones...  Usad vuestra imaginación, porque valoraré mucho vuestra creatividad. No olvidéis que las cabeceras deben tener una melodía pegadiza.

• En segundo lugar, vamos a redactar nuestras noticias. Calcula que cada una de ellas es como un writing, así que tienen que tener al menos 120 palabras. Es decir: Una noticia internacional de 120 palabras, una nacional de 120 palabras y una de deportes / el tiempo de 120 palabras. Piensa bien en lo que quieres decir, y escríbelas en tu cuaderno para poderlas ensayar. Intenta utilizar las estructuras que hemos estudiado este trimestre: todos los futuros y el primer condicional. También podéis usar los modales y obviamente los tiempos simples, continuos y perfectos que hemos dado este curso. 

• Cuando ya tengamos terminadas nuestras noticias, es hora de prepararnos para grabar. Leed muchas veces cada texto en voz alta para practicar la pronunciación. En https://es.forvo.com/languages/en/ podéis consultar la pronunciación de las palabras que no os suenen. También deberíais pensar en cómo queréis vestiros para la ocasión. Fijaos en los presentadores de los telediarios e intentad reproducir su atuendo y su postura. Por último, tendréis que preparar el espacio de grabación para que se parezca lo más posible a un estudio de grabación de noticiarios. Quizá podáis grabar delante de vuestra televisión y que se vean imágenes de fondo que preparéis previamente. O podéis ser enviados especiales en alguna ciudad del mundo, micrófono en mano. ¿Vais a grabar de pie delante de una pantalla o sentados a una mesa? Recordad que si escogéis la opción extra de El tiempo necesitaréis un mapa de España. Y no olvidéis probar siempre a ver cómo se ve antes de grabar el vídeo definitivo. 

• Una vez que hayáis ensayado lo suficiente será hora de grabar. Grabad cada noticia por separado, en archivos distintos. Así os será más fácil manejarlos. Cuidad vuestra pronunciación y no os dediquéis a leer como robots. Tiene que parecer un telediario, así que tenéis que mirar a la cámara y no pasaros todo el tiempo mirando a un papel. Podéis prepararos alguna chuletilla que os sujete alguien detrás de la cámara y así podéis recordar lo que tenéis que decir. 

• ¿Ya habéis grabado los vídeos? Pues utilizad alguna app de vuestro móvil para darles vidilla. Podéis incluir algún efecto que os guste, o incluir palabras o frases escritas. Divertíos y sed creativos. No olvidéis guardarlos porque tendréis que subirlos a vuestra presentación.

• Ahora toca continuar con nuestra presentación de Drive o de Powerpoint. Crearemos tres páginas (recordad que la de la cabecera ya tendría que estar hecha), una por cada una de las noticias. En cada página incluiremos en la parte inferior el título de la noticia que corresponda a esa página, y también un logo. Algo parecido a esto:

• Luego insertaremos nuestro vídeo en la página. Antes que nada tendremos que pasarlo desde nuestro móvil a la tablet o el pc donde vayamos a trabajar con la presentación. Podéis usar un cable usb, o enviarlo por email adjunto y descargarlo, lo que os resulte más fácil. Si usáis Powerpoint tendréis que pulsar en la pestaña Insertar, y luego en la parte derecha darle a Video / Video en mi PC. Si usáis la presentación de Google Drive hay un pequeño inconveniente, y es que primero tendréis que subir el video a Drive. Después ya podéis abrir en la presentación y darle a Insertar / Video / Google Drive / Mi unidad, y subirlo desde ahí. 

• Repetid el mismo proceso con las dos noticias y el extra. Para terminar, añadid una última página en la que incluyáis vuestro curso, nombre y apellidos. Y eso es todo. Espero que disfrutéis de esta experiencia, estoy deseando ver vuestros proyectos.

3ESOA & 3ESOB - THURSDAY 28TH MAY - UNIT 7 - STUDENT BOOK REVIEW

Good morning everyone!

Today in our video meeting we are going to check the following homework:

-The Reading II section from the Student Book (p.77) and the Workbook (p. 62)
-The Writing section from the Student Book (p.79) and the Workbook (p. 63)

Besides, we are going to continue with the review of Unit 7. First you will have to listen to a video in which we have a quick look into the grammar, and then we will do the review exercises from the Student Book (p.80) and the Workbook (pp. 64/65). WE WILL HAVE OUR WRITTEN TEST ON MONDAY 1ST JUNE. 

So let's go!

Here you have the review video as we would do it in class. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT that you watch it!!!! It will help you to refresh the vocabulary and the grammar and to solve possible doubts. Besides, there I tell you the type of exercises I will include in the written test.

3ESOA & 3ESOB - MONDAY 25TH MAY - UNIT 7 - WRITING

Good morning everyone!!

Today we are going to work on the writing section, on page 79 of your Student Book.

• First of all, read the text with attention. Look up in the dictionary for the words you don't understand (or you can use Google translator o www.wordreference.com):

I added the yellow lines for you to distinguish the four paragraphs of the essay. This is very important when you write your own essay. 

• Now, we are going to work with LINKING WORDS. They are very important, because they help us introduce ideas in an essay. In this unit we are going to work with the following: IN ADDITION - ON BALANCE - HOWEVER - FIRSTLY- FOR ONE THING - ALSO. Copy them on your notebook (on the vocabulary section) and translate them into Spanish. Another important word that you will have to use is the adverb NOWADAYS (meaning "hoy en día" o "en la actualidad"). 

• Now we are going to do exercise 3 on the Student Book, and exercise 1 on page 63 of your Workbooks. They are VERY IMPORTANT because you will have a similar exercise on your written test. 

• Finally, we are going to write our essay. To do it, we have to follow the following scheme:

Os lo explico en español para que lo entendáis bien:

-El primer párrafo de la redacción es la introducción. En ella lo que hago más o menos es decir de qué voy a hablar, establecer el tema de mi redacción y decir de forma muy resumida cuál es la situación actual del tema del que voy a hablar. Es un buen lugar para utilizar NOWADAYS.

-El segundo párrafo es para que añadáis ideas a favor del tema de vuestra redacción. No tenéis que dar vuestra opinión, ni si estáis de acuerdo o no. Sólo tenéis que decir qué cosas pensáis vosotros que están a favor del tema que estáis tratando. Es el párrafo perfecto para utilizar FIRSTLY, ALSO y WHAT'S MORE.

-El tercer párrafo lo dedicamos a las ideas en contra. Aquí usaremos HOWEVER, FOR ONE THING e IN ADDITION.

-El último párrafo es para la conclusión. En este párrafo sí podéis incluir vuestra opinión, y lo empezaremos con ON BALANCE.

• Now is the time to do your essay (120 words). This Thursday on the video meeting I will ask you to show it to me, to get it ready! The title you must use is SOCIAL NETWORKING SITES LIKE FACEBOOK ARE THE BEST WAY FOR TEENAGERS TO COMMUNICATE. Remember that the words of the title count!

Today we are going to start with the grammar of Unit 7. Don't worry because it is easy-peasy!

1. First of all, prepare your pen and notebook on the Grammar Maps section, and watch the following video. At some moments, I will ask you to pause the video to copy the information, so pay attention! 

2. Now you have to take your Student Book. We are going to do exercises 1, 2 and 3 on page 74. I leave some captures from the book for those who don't have it at home.

On the video meeting this Thursday I will ask you some questions about the grammar and we will also check the exercises from the Student Book.

Good morning everyone! Today we have our video meeting in which we are going to check the vocabulary exercises from last lesson. 

Besides, we are going to work on our reading. So take your Student Book on page 73. First of all, we will read the text. 

Now look up for all the words you don't understand at www.wordreference.com. You can write them on your Personal Dictionary at the back of your notebook. When you finish you are ready to take the survey. You can write your answers on your notebook. 

Now choose a person at home (your parents, your brothers or sisters) and ask them about their answers and write them down on your notebook. 

Finished? Let's do exercise 8. 

Finally, we are going to take a simple video quiz. I hope you enjoy it!

3ESOA & 3ESOB - MONDAY 27TH APRIL - UNIT 7 - VOCABULARY

Good morning! Today we are starting Unit 7. Don't worry, because we are going to go slowly and you will follow the unit without any problem.

1. As always, we are starting with the Vocabulary section on page 72 of our Student Book. So the first thing we are going to do is to copy the vocabulary on your notebook and translate it into Spanish. You can use www.wordreference.com to look for the words. It is the best online dictionary!

2. Now we are going to do exercise 3 on page 72 of our Student Books.

3. Finally, we are going to open our Workbooks on page 58 and we are going to do exercises 1, 2 and 3.
